INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED FAULKNER DOC INAUGURATES
2025 IN NEW ORLEANS
In 1925, William Faulkner, a budding American writer, found himself in the vibrant and jazz-infused streets of New Orleans. It was a transformative period marked by exploration of new literary styles and themes. A century later, the definitive documentary on William Faulkner screens at the Modern Language Association's (MLA) Annual Convention in New Orleans. This is a new and never seen cut of the film to bring in the New Year!
"Faulkner: The Past is Never Dead" at the 2025 MLA convention signifies that the themes and ideas explored in William Faulkner's works, particularly regarding the complex and often haunting nature of the American South's history, will be a prominent topic of discussion at the Modern Language Association conference, highlighting how the past continues to influence the present and is not easily forgotten.
